Moscow authorities: construction of temples and mosques is possible only after public hearings

March 1, 2013 Deputy Mayor of Moscow Marat Khusnullin told reporters that making decisions on the construction of places of worship - the prerogative of local governments, not the city government.

"Construction of all places of worship in Moscow, regardless of confession, it is possible only after public hearings. If the residents vote "for", then there will be construction ," he said. M. Khusnullin.

Recall that on the same day, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the construction of mosques in Moscow is not planned.
