Sentence for anti-Semitic drawings on VKontakte

On March 4, 2013, in the Kaliningrad region, the Bagrationovsky District Court passed a sentence under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities) in a criminal case against 25-year-old Orshulevich.

The court found that in April 2011, the convict had posted five images on his page on the social network VKontakte, " which together constitute an inscription calling for extremist activities against persons of Jewish nationality ."

Orshulevich was sentenced to a fine of 40 thousand rubles.

The verdict did not enter into force.

Recall that in September 2011 it was reported that a criminal case had been initiated in Kaliningrad case against one of the leaders of the ultra-right Orthodox-monarchist organization "Baltic Vanguard of Russian Resistance" (BARS) Alexander Orshulevich, who was accused of desecrating the monument to the "Victims of Death march near Koenigsberg. 1945" August 24 this year. It was reported that A. Orshulevich is a parishioner of the church in honor of the Tsar-martyr Nicholas of the Kaliningrad community of the Russian Orthodox churches (RosPTs).
