Neryungri imam fined for distributing extremist literature

On March 15, 2013, it became known that the Neryungri City Court (Yakutia) sentenced the imam of the Muslim organization "Spiritual Center" to a fine under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (production and distribution of extremist materials) in connection with the discovery in the premises of the community of literature included in Federal list of extremist materials.

Forbidden Islamic literature was discovered during a check in the premises of the community on the territory of GSK "Metallist" (Neryungri, Geologists Ave.) in a specially equipped place, accessible to all visitors ."
