Markelov believes that now the editor-in-chief of MK is looking for various reasons to avoid an open conversation.
“But if he is not satisfied with our faction colleague named Isaev (Andrei Isaev is the deputy secretary of the party’s general council), then I am ready to go out with him to a “Duel” with Vladimir Solovyov,” Markelov emphasized.
According to him, in the old days, if a woman was insulted or personally insulted, they were challenged to a duel.
“As a journalist, as a person with rich life experience, who has visited all the “hot spots,” I never forget about morality, self-esteem, and the honor of an officer. And if Pavel Gusev is not afraid again, then I am ready with him meet on television. I throw down the gauntlet to him,” the United Russia deputy said.
The Saturday issue of Moskovsky Komsomolets published the article “Political prostitution changes gender.” It talked about three United Russia deputies - Ekaterina Lakhova, Irina Yarovaya, Olga Batalina. Later, their fellow party member Andrei Isaev called this material a “vile, vile, dirty attack” on female politicians and promised that the “scoundrels” - the author of the article and the editor of the publication - would “respond harshly.”
On Tuesday, the State Duma called on Gusev to apologize for the article “Political prostitution changes gender.” Its author, according to parliamentarians, insulted female deputies. 300 deputies voted for the statement, which stated that “the editor-in-chief of a publication who committed such actions cannot be a member of professional associations of journalists,” 97 voted against, and there were no abstentions.
In an interview with PublicPost, Pavel Gusev said that he saw no reason for an apology and that the article published in MK did not insult women.
