SOVA presented an annual report on the problems of implementing freedom of conscience in Russia

On April 2, 2013, the Independent Press Center in Moscow hosted the presentation of the SOVA Center's annual report "Problems of Realizing Freedom of Conscience in Russia in 2012".

The author of the report, Olga Sibireva, spoke about the main trends in this area, the consequences of the Pussy Riot case, conflicts around the construction and use of places of worship, the situation with religiously motivated vandalism, and other problems noted in 2012.

Director of the SOVA Center Alexander Verkhovsky gave an overview of the changes in legislation affecting the interests of religious organizations.

Levada Center Leading Researcher Tatiana Vorozheikina spoke about the attitude of Russians to religious education and teaching religion at school.
