A trial of three Muslim women suspected of belonging to Hizb ut-Tahrir has begun in Ufa.

On March 29, 2013, it became known that in January 2013, the Magistrate Court of the Kalininsky District of Ufa began consideration of the merits of a criminal case initiated against three Muslim women suspected of belonging to Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Liliya Shakirova (born 1982) is charged under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 (organizing the activities of an extremist organization), Yulia Mannapova and Elmira Minibaeva – under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 (participation in the activities of an extremist organization). They are accused of organizing a Hizb ut-Tahrir cell in Ufa, promoting doctrine and distributing extremist literature.

During the searches carried out in the houses of suspected Muslim women, the following texts were confiscated: “The bearer of the call between words and practical application”, “Caliphate”, “How the Caliphate was destroyed”, “The system of Islam”, “Change”, “The concept of Hizb ut-Tahrir”, “Foundations in the caliphate state”, “Islamic state”, “The social system of Islam”, “Heaven and Hell”, “Party cohesion”, “The Hizb ut-Tahrir program”, “Islamic personalities”, No. 286 of the Al-Wai magazine. According to a linguistic and religious examination carried out in September 2011, these texts “ contain statements containing expressions of exclusivity and superiority in relation to other religions, in particular, to Judaism and Christians; all infidels are considered enemies of Muslims, and all states of unbelief are declared enemies of Islam; Muslims are called upon to do everything to convert all countries into the territory of Islam , <...> in case of resistance, the countries will be conquered .” The indictment also contains other texts.

The criminal case initiated against L. Shakirova, Y. Mannapova and E. Minibaeva was returned to the Kalininsky court by court order dated April 25, 2012; consideration on the merits began only in January 2013.

Let us recall that the criminal case wasinitiated in May 2011, the indictment was dated October 28, 2011, the casewas transferred to the Magistrate's Court of the Kalininsky District of Ufa in November 2011, at the same time a decision was made to transfer the case to the Magistrate's Court of the Ordzhonikidze District of Ufa. In view of the fact that it was in this court that the husband of one of the accused was convicted in September 2010, the women insisted on returning the case to the Kalinin court.
