The Kurgan City Court recognized Islamic videos posted by VKontakte as extremist.

April 4, 2013 Kurgan the city court recognized as extremist video materials posted on the social network networks "VKontakte". Among them are videos:

-  "How I went to Jihad and what I saw here”;

-  "Sayd Buryatsky" Answers to questions" Spring 1430 (2009)";

-  “Kafirs have no arguments”;

-  "Film from the site "Islam Umma";

-  "Sheikh Said Buryat "Ramadan and Jihad"";

-  "Sheikh Said Buryat "Intention and Jihad" Spring 1430 (2009)".

The initiator of the trial was the city prosecutor's office, which applied to the court with lawsuit. The conducted psychological and linguistic examination showed that “ in these video materials, purposefully methods of direct or covert influence on the psyche of an individual with the purpose of forming psychological readiness for the actions of violent nature, or manifestations of a hostile attitude towards representatives of a certain social group, and their distribution on the Internet generates tension in society, provoking corresponding conflicts .”

The court confirmed that these materials are “aimed at creating hostility and aggression towards persons another nationality or faith and the formation of a mindset for illegal actions of an extremist nature” and satisfied the requirements of the prosecutor’s office.
