There will be no mosque in Novokuznetsk

On April 5, 2013, the mayor of Novokuznetsk denied that a permit had been issued for the construction of a mosque in the city.

“ There was no permit and construction, and no one saw the project. There is no talk of any construction and is not being carried out ,” he said at a press conference.

Recall that in March 2012, the Russian Patriotic Club sent an application to the administration of Novokuznetsk with a request to cancel the building permit issued in February mosques. In March 2013, an unsanctioned anti-Islamic rally was held by nationalists .
