The Investigative Committee found no signs of violence in the barbering of Muslims in Surgut

April 24, 2013 it became known about that the Investigative Committee for the Khanty-Mansiysk District denied the Muslims of Surgut in initiating a criminal case under article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (exceeding official powers) in relation to police officers who forced them to trim their beards in early March 2013.

Recall that the incident occurred on March 3 in Surgut cafe located next to the mosque. The policemen who entered the cafe, checking the documents of the visitors cafes demanded that Muslims cut off their beards. The police threatened burn beards in case of disobedience.

Investigators did not find in the actions of police officers signs of violence.
