Jehovah's Witness fined in Vyksa

April 25, 2013 Vyksa City Court Nizhny Novgorod region found a resident of Vyksa P. guilty of committing offenses under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution extremist materials) and fined him 1000 rubles. The offense consisted of distributing brochures of Jehovah's Witnesses. The court ruling has not entered into force.

Initially, P. was accused of distribution of the pamphlet "The Government That Will Bring Paradise", included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials, and the pamphlet "Questions of Youth. Practical Advice", however, the case of an administrative youth…" was terminated due to the lack of administrative staff offenses.

Over the last this is already the second known case of administrative persecution Jehovah's Witnesses in Vyksa. At the beginning of April , against a resident of Nizhny Novgorod, also accused of distributing extremist materials, was closed due to the lack of corpus delicti.
