On May 7, 2013, it became known that on March 8, 2013, the villagers Zhukovka, Odintsovo district, Moscow region, disrupted the ceremony of laying a “commemorative capsule” at the site of the future temple.
All approvals have been received. However, local residents note that the church is planned to be built on the banks of the Moscow River, in the area sanitary protection of the Rublevskaya water treatment plant, where any construction is prohibited. They emphasize that they are not against the Church, but against building in a specific place, and even offer a new place for construction - in the center of the village near the monument to fallen soldiers.
The proposals of local residents were discussed on March 10 at a meeting of the church commission, which was attended by about 60 protesters.
According to members of the commission, they do not object to the transfer of construction to a new location, but insist on the construction namely the temple complex, which will not fit on 4.5 acres near the monument to the fallen soldiers.
