In Chuvashia, a provider was fined for distributing extremist materials

On June 3, 2013, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Chuvashia reported that that the Novocheboksarsky City Court sentenced the head of a local provider to a fine of 2000 rubles under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials) for not providing limiting user access to materials banned for extremism on the network. We consider this decision unlawful, since Art. 20.29 The Code of Administrative Offenses provides for punishment for an intentional offense, and not for an offense committed through negligence.
