On April 10, 2013, the Ostankino District Court began considering a criminal case against one of the leaders of the “Russians” association, Dmitry Demushkin.
He is accused under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of a public organization in respect of which the court has made a decision that has entered into legal force to ban its activities in connection with the implementation of extremist activities).
Let us remember that the case was initiated in April 2011. Law enforcement agencies insist that D. Demushkin’s “Slavic Power” movement (part of the “Russians” Association) continues the activities of the previously banned “Slavic Union”. The “Slavic Union” was declared extremist on April 27, 2010, and in February 2011 this decision came into force .
D. Demushkin himself does not admit his guilt.
