On June 20, 2013, the Severodvinsk City Court announced that it had satisfied the application of the military prosecutor of the Severodvinsk garrison to recognize the video files “David Duke. Jewish racism through the eyes of a Rabbi”, “PSA banned on TV in 2010” and “Article 282 of the UKRF for Russians, Russians are always guilty!” posted on the Internet.
These videos were posted by one of the officers of the military unit stationed in Severodvinsk and posted from December 10, 2010 to February 3, 2011 on his personal page on the VKontakte social network. A criminal case was initiated against the officer under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred). On February 5, 2013, by a decision of the Severodvinsk garrison military court, the criminal case was terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution.
The court's decision to recognize the materials as extremist has not yet entered into force.
