On July 1, 2013, the Investigative Committee for the Ulyanovsk Region announced that a sentence had been passed on 27-year-old Dmitry Gurzhiev. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred and enmity on the basis of nationality).
The investigation and the court found that from May to August 2012, an attacker created an account in one of the popular social networks under a different name from his home computer, on which he "posted photographs, drawings, inscriptions and other information of extremist content, humiliating representatives of non-Slavic nationalities " . (Most likely, we are talking about a case initiated in January 2013 against a user of the VKontakte network, speaking under the name "Valentin Bubenchikov").
Burzhiev was sentenced to 1 year suspended sentence.
