According to the Levada Center, the number of supporters of criminal punishment for insulting the feelings of believers has decreased by 8%

On July 3, 2013, the Levada Center published the data of a survey conducted on 20-24 June 2013 in 130 settlements of 45 regions of the country, and devoted to the attitude of Russians to the law on propaganda of homosexuality and to the law of the feelings of believers.

1,601 people aged 18 took part in the survey and older.

Sociologists draw attention to the fact that, compared with a similar survey, held in September 2012, the number of opponents of criminal punishment for insulting the feelings of believers increased by 14%, while the number of supporters decreased by 8%. increased and the number of respondents who have decided on their position on this issue (per 6%).

16% of those surveyed in 2013 fully support criminal punishment for insulting the feelings of believers (in 2012 - 19%), 39% - "rather support" (in 2012 - 44%), 28% - "rather against" (in 2012 - 16%), 9% categorically against (in 2012 - 7%), 8% found it difficult to answer (in 2012 - 14%).

The introduction of the law on propaganda of homosexuality is supported by 76% of citizens.
