Case of creation of extremist community brought to court

On July 18, 2013, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Vladimir Region announced the completion of the investigation of the criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code (creation of an extremist community) in relation to a 30-year-old resident of Vladimir. The case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

According to investigators, the defendant posted a questionnaire on his Internet page, " offering communication with persons who support the ideology of neo-Nazism ." By mid-2010, he created and led a group of over 15 people. The man systematically conducted explanatory tactical conversations with like-minded people, supplied them with literature, video and audio materials " to achieve and realize a common goal related to the persecution of persons of non-Slavic appearance and origin, Jews, activists of the opposition movement "Antifa" and the commission of crimes against a person, property , public safety order ."

During the activity, members of the neo-Nazi group committed 14 crimes of " an extremist orientation of varying severity, including intentionally causing harm to the health of citizens, robberies and robberies ." In some criminal cases, convictions have already been passed.

The activity of the organized group was stopped at the end of 2010.

During the investigation, the accused entered into a pre-trial agreement on cooperation, giving truthful testimony.
