During an inspection of the Surgut market, extremist literature and one of the members of Hizb ut-Tahrir were found.

July 9, 2013 on the territory of the wholesale the Askania market in Surgut, a special operation was carried out by the FSB, in as a result of which about 500 people were detained and examined, including citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

74 people brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rules of entry into Russia. One of the detainees - a citizen of Tajikistan - previously had a criminal record for participation in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

During the inspection of the premises of the market, books and brochures brought on the list of extremist materials. In particular, the magazine "Al Wai", " Collection of lectures" by Ahmad Deedat, published in Baku, and " The Book of Monotheism ".
