Residents of St. Petersburg oppose the construction of a temple in the park on Dolgoozernaya

July 29, 2013 of the year in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, a discussion was held on the construction of a church in the park on Dolgoozernaya. The event was attended by about 500 people, the majority opposed construction.

According to local residents, in mid-July, a 1.3-hectare section of the park was fenced and closed for visits, the trees that ended up in the construction site were destroyed. Permission for "conditionally permitted use for religious objects" issued by the city government.

Local residents who opposed the construction of the temple and in defense of the park began collecting signatures under the appeal to the prosecutor's office.
