A criminal case has been initiated in Bashkiria under Art. 280

On August 8, 2013, it became known that in March 2013 a criminal case was opened in Ufa under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities) against an unidentified person, under the pseudonym Dinis Sabirov, who posted an extremist video “ Why are Muslims in a humiliated position ” on the social network VKontakte.

The video was discovered by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor's office during an inspection, and according to the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Ufa dated December 5, 2012 and the ruling of the same court dated June 7, 2013, it was recognized as extremist. In August 2013, it was included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials under No. 1993.

In addition to the specified video, calls to join the Caucasus Emirate organization were found on the user’s page.
