Verdict for anti-Caucasian video files on the Internet

On August 12, 2013, the Kaluga District Court of the Kaluga Region passed a sentence against 18-year-old Alexei Bugaev. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred).

It was established that Bugaev from March to October 2012 posted on the Internet video files " on the viciousness of persons of Caucasian nationality, calls for hostile and violent actions against these persons, information justifying, substantiating, and inducing discord between citizens in relation to persons of this nationality " .

The court agreed with the opinion of the public prosecutor and sentenced Bugaev to a fine in the form of a state revenue in the amount of 30 thousand rubles.

The verdict has not entered into force.
