On August 26, 2013, the Magistrate's Court of the Vologda Region in judicial district No. 42 announced that Alexander Artemyev, a 22-year-old resident of Babaevo, was convicted under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities).
The court found that from November 30, 2010 to March 25, 2013 Artemiev distributed texts, videos and verbal statements on the Internet calling for xenophobic violence. He "motivated his position with a positive assessment of the activities of Nazi skinheads, in particular in relation to ethnic residents of the Caucasus and other nationalities in relation to Russians ."
The defendant pleaded guilty to the crime.
Taking into account the opinion of the state prosecution, the court sentenced Artemyev to a fine of 10,000 rubles. Sources
