August, 26th 2013, the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Bashkortostan announced the transfer to the court of the case in against five residents of the city of Sibay and Baimaksky district. They are charged under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of a religious an association in respect of which the court has adopted a legally binding decision to ban activities in connection with the implementation of extremist activities), part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of a religious an association in respect of which the court has adopted a legally binding decision to ban activities in connection with the implementation of extremist activities).
The investigation believes that in January 2012 a 35-year-old resident Sibaya organized a Hizb ut-Tahrir cell and involved four more people from 22 years old to 31 years old.
