The director of a library in Sergiev Posad near Moscow was fined for performing official duties.

September 11, 2013 Sergiev Posad City Court for the claim of the Sergiev Posad prosecutor's office recognized the director of the library. A.S. Gorlovsky, Sergiev Posad, Moscow Region, guilty of committing an administrative offense under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials) and imposed a fine of 2,000 rubles.

The reason for the persecution was the brochure of Jehovah's Witnesses found in the library "Life - how did it come about? Through evolution or through creation?", included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials.
