| In September 2009, Vladimir Dolgikh demanded to withdraw the Anti -Soviet sign from Shashlychny on Leningradsky Prospekt in Moscow |
64 years of 88, Vladimir Dolgikh lived under the Soviet regime, correctly serving her and rose to the post of secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU. In 2002, he returned to social activities and became chairman of the Council of Veterans of Moscow. In 2011, he was again called up for public service as a State Duma deputy from the United Russia party. And now - the news from Sergei Sobyanin.
His personal story is interesting as an illustration. In itself, Vladimir Ivanovich is not remarkable, uninteresting, and even in the Soviet times happy for him was not a figure of bright and attracting public attention.
The return to the political life of such a Soviet mastodon at first glance seems to be something unnatural. Moreover, he is hardly capable of active political activity now. Obviously, the new elevation of long is a symbolic act. The fact that Moscow in the upper house of the Federal Assembly will be represented by a convinced Stalinist and a former candidate for the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU, a supporter of communist ideology and the Soviet lifestyle, testifies to the readiness of many influential representatives of the authorities for the restoration of Soviet orders in the country.
"
It is obvious that the new elevation of the long is a symbolic act
"
As a matter of fact, these orders have long and vigorously return to our lives. Soviet political practice today is political processes with falsified criminal charges, restrictions on freedom of speech, censorship, persecution of journalists, the arbitrariness of the police, the dependence of the judicial system on the executive branch, the profanity of elections and the degradation of the election legislation, the omnipotence of officials and the heyday of corruption.
Of course, getting rid of all these vices of the Soviet system is not so easy for the country. Reasoning soberly, it is difficult to do in 20 years. However, it is significant in which direction we are going, which we strive for. If in the first post -perestroika years the country of development of the country was directed towards democracy, then from the beginning of the new millennium and coming to the power of Vladimir Putin, he changed the direction to the opposite.
No need to deceive yourself - there has never been a real democracy in Russia. Even the creation of democratic institutions and the adoption of relevant laws did not ensure the normal functioning of democracy. No matter how trite it sounds, the fate of the country depends not so much on the proclaimed ideas as on the determination of people to follow these ideas. Therefore, it is completely important which people come to politics and become expressers of certain public moods. For the future of the country, it is not indifferent what symbols personify public preferences and state policy.
All this is like the light from a flashlight that can be displayed in the dark one or another path. What we choose, let's go for that. It seems that we are again offered to follow the same road along which we have once traveled a difficult path and fell into the abyss.
