A case of posting extremist materials on a social network has been brought to court

At the end of September 2013, a criminal case was sent to the court in Voronezh against a 31-year-old "converted Muslim" who posted on social media "extremist materials" networks, including an anti-Semitic article.

A criminal case was sent to the Magistrate's Court of the Leninsky District of Voronezh against a 31-year-old Voronezh resident, who is charged under Part 1 of Art. 282 UK (incitement of hatred or enmity towards a group of persons on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, attitude to religion).

The investigation established that the accused, who works at a construction site as a laborer and he calls himself "newly converted Muslim", created a group on the social network "VKontakte" "Community of newly converted Muslims in Voronezh", where in the public domain posted materials from the Federal List of Extremist Materials and texts, in which the examination saw extremism. One of the publications "Islam is salvation Peoples of Russia" called for enmity against the Jews.
