In October 2013, a criminal case was initiated in Rostov-on-Don against a 19-year-old Internet user for materials inciting hatred "toward representatives of religious denominations and social groups."
On October 1, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region announced that a criminal case had been initiated against a 19-year-old resident of the city of Rostov-on-Don, suspected under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity). According to investigators, in 2011-2012, the suspect created a personal e-page on one of the social networks, where he repeatedly posted freely available materials "inciting hatred and enmity between representatives of various religious denominations and social groups."
