In October 2013, in Yekaterinburg, a criminal case was sent to the court on posting an extremist video on the VKontakte social network.
On October 2, 2013, the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region announced that it had approved the indictment under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity) in a criminal case against a 17-year-old local resident.
According to investigators, the minor posted on his website on the social network VKontakte a video file with extremist content calling for inciting ethnic hatred.
The investigation of the criminal case was carried out by the Investigative Department for Yekaterinburg of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sverdlovsk Region.
The criminal case was sent to the Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Yekaterinburg for consideration on the merits.
