Sentenced for posting extremist materials on social network

In October 2013, Andrey Bogdanov was convicted in Voronezh for publishing an article with hostile remarks against Jews.

The Leninsky District Court of Voronezh delivered a sentence under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic hatred or enmity) against 31-year-old Internet user Andrey Bogdanov.

Also in February 2013, Bogdanov posted on VKontakte the articles “The Fortress of a Muslim” and “The Book of Monotheism”, included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials.

The defendant fully admitted his guilt. The court sentenced him to 300 hours of community service.
