Attack on a cafe in Chelyabinsk

On the night of October 14, 2013 in Chelyabinsk, unknown young people attacked the Quiet Don cafe. The owners of the cafe are natives of Armenia.

On the night of October 14, a group of unknown people dressed in jackets with hoods and scarves entered the cafe and fired several shots from a traumatic weapon. There were about 15 people in the cafe at the time. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm).

The head of the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the "Union of Armenians of Russia" Gagik Mkhitaryan said that " Russians were not touched, only "blacks" were beaten." “Whoever they managed to do was beaten, one gypsy is in the hospital with several wounds. Tajiks were beaten. They shouted something like: “Who is brave, come out!” ", he added. The attackers " didn't demand anything, they came in, shot, beat, left - this is an act of intimidation ," G. Mkhitaryan noted.

One of the visitors, a gypsy (b. 1994), was hospitalized in serious condition.

Meanwhile, Aleksey Tabalov, co-chairman of the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the RPR-Parnassus party, said: "... as for the pogrom in the cafe, I think that it was provoked by an emotionally unbalanced reaction to the events in Moscow by individual impressionable citizens with not the best upbringing ."

On October 15, police and employees of the migration service in the Chelyabinsk region conducted a raid to identify illegal migrants at the Kashirinskiy market. Several dozen people were detained.
