Protests of nationalists in St. Petersburg

October 20, 2013 in St. Petersburg after a rally in support of Nikolai Bondarik at Field of Mars about 40 nationalists marched from Nevsky avenue to Duma Square. After that, the ultra-right went to Apraksin yard, where they began to burn smoke bombs and beat the shop windows with stones.
October 20 on On the territory of Hyde Park on the Field of Mars, a rally was held in support of N. Bondarik . About 100 people gathered for the action, some of whom held imperial flags and chanted anti-Semitic (“Down with the Jewish system”) and anti-government slogans. During the rally, the police detained 8 people.

Through an hour after the rally on the Field of Mars, the nationalists moved along the Nevsky avenue towards Dumskaya street near Gostiny Dvor, where in September there was a shootout involving seven residents of Dagestan. Along the way, the marchers beat several people with non-Slavic appearance.

After that, the ultra-right went to Apraksin Dvor, a large clothing market, which is one of the points of accumulation of migrants, where they began burn smoke bombs and smash shop windows with stones. During the pogrom there were 16 people were detained, mostly teenagers.

Observers of the rally on the Field of Mars noted that the participants first planned an attack on Gostiny Dvor. About 100 activists gathered near Gostiny Dvor, chanting anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic and offensive slogans ("Peter without Khachey, Moscow for Muscovites", "Peter not the Caucasus"). After how the police and riot police began to arrive, the crowd dispersed.
