In October 2013, in Tikhoretsk (Krasnodar Territory), a 24-year-old young man was detained for making extremist statements on a social network. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 282 (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity), Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, possession of drugs).
In October 2013, employees of the FSB of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory detained a 24-year-old resident of Tikhoretsk " because of extremist statements aimed at humiliating the dignity of a group of people on the basis of nationality ."
As a result of the operational-search activities, a man was identified, " positioning himself as the leader of the Chechen youth community, who, among his peers, publicly demonstrated his belonging to the radical direction of Islam ." The man on his VKontakte page repeatedly expressed " provocative judgments calling for national and religious hatred between various peoples living in the city of Tikhoretsk ."
The forensic laboratory confirmed the fact that the video and photo materials on the user's personal computer " contain signs of intolerance towards representatives of other nationalities ".
The young man was also found to have drugs of plant origin.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 1 of article 282 (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity), part 2 of art. 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal acquisition, possession of drugs).
The investigation is considering the appointment of a psychological and psychiatric examination in relation to the suspect.
