The Yabloko party and human rights activists have formed a Committee for United Counteraction to Xenophobia

On November 4, 2013, the Public Forum “The unity of Russia in the solidarity of citizens. against xenophobia and nationalism." The event was organized by the Yabloko party together with human rights organizations.

The forum was attended by: founder Yabloko Party Grigory Yavlinsky, Yabloko leader Sergei Mitrokhin, Secretary Yabloko Political Committee Galina Mikhaleva, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Forum resettlement organizations” Lidia Grafova, Secretary of the Union of Journalists Nadezhda Azhgikhina, Chairman of the Moscow Helsinki Group Lyudmila Alekseeva, Director of the SOVA Center Alexander Verkhovsky, Head of the Center for the Study of Xenophobia and Prevention of Extremism of the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Emil Pain, Chairman organizations Committee for Civil Rights Andrey Babushkin, leader of the Civic Assistance Committee Svetlana Ganushkina, President of the Migration of the 21st Century Foundation Vyacheslav Postavnin, Chairman of the Permanent Chamber for Human Rights of the Political Advisory Council under the President of the Russian Federation Valery Borshchev.

As a result, the Joint Opposition Committee was formed. xenophobia, collected proposals for further action.
