In the Rostov region, a case on inciting hatred against representatives of a non-Islamic religion has been brought to court.

November 2013, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region announced
completion of the investigation of the criminal case initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting religious hatred).
The criminal case was filed against an 18-year-old Internet user, in September 2012 year, who posted on his page “ materials, available to an unlimited number of users and exciting hatred and enmity between representatives of various religious denominations and social groups ".
According to the results of the examination, “the indicated materials contain signs incitement to action against representatives of the non-Muslim religion, a call to armed jihad, justification for terrorist activities .”
The case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits.
