Suspect of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir detained in Moscow
On November 14, 2014, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the detention in Moscow of a 25-year-old citizen of Tajikistan suspected of involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir.
The detainee was found to have a 2009 issue of Al-Vai magazine of the year, previously recognized as extremist and prohibited for distribution.
In addition, law enforcement agencies assume that the detainee distributed leaflets on the territory of the Historical Mosque of Moscow in September 2013.
