St. Petersburg: Nikolai Bondarik’s accounts have been frozen

The accounts of ultra-right activist Nikolai Bondarik, accused of creating a group that organized two provocations against the backdrop of Eid al-Adha on October 15 in St. Petersburg, have been arrested. This was announced on November 15, 2013 in the media by the wife of the arrested person Anna Bondarik. According to her, the accounts of the HOA, of which he is the chairman, are also blocked.

Recall that Bondarik is charged with two episodes under Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred and enmity). According to investigators, members of the group he created forced the 16-year-old teenager to injure his hand, and then he reported on the Internet about the alleged attack by visitors from Central Asia motivated by ethnic hatred. In addition, Bondarik is accused of offering a local resident 20,000 rubles in exchange for provoking a conflict with "non-Slavs" and then calling the police and an ambulance.

During the investigation of the case, on October 17, the Vyborgsky District Court placed Bondarik in custody for two months, but on November 13, the St. Petersburg City Court overturned the decision of the lower court and sent the case back for a new trial. The nationalist is in a pre-trial detention center in St. Petersburg.

Bondarik is not the first time falls under criminal prosecution. In 1999, he received five years in prison, being found guilty of beating to death a businessman who allegedly deceived him with money, but due to the fact that since 1994 he had been in a pre-trial detention center on various charges, after the verdict he was immediately released .
