In 2013, the book by Metropolitan Andrei (Sheptytsky) was recognized as extremist and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials.
At the end of November 2013 public attention attracted section 2087 of the Federal List of Extremist Materials that appeared there October 4, 2013 This is a book by Metropolitan Andrey (Sheptytsky) "Pravdiva Vira" (Lublin, 1990), included in the List on the basis of the decision of the Meshchansky District Court Moscow on March 14, 2013
This book was among a large amount of literature seized in early 2011 during a search of the Library of Ukrainian Literature in Moscow as part of an investigation under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code. Subsequently, the case was dismissed for lack of corpus delicti, but the process of recognizing the confiscated books as extremist continued.
A collection entitled "True Faith: Pastir. sheet to the top in Bukovina" was written in 1900 and republished in Polish the city of Lublin in 1990. It can be defined as a catechism where the metropolitan Andrey (Sheptytsky), primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in 1900–1944 years, currently a candidate for beatification, mainly calls on Ukrainians to support catholic faith.
We didn't get to read the book. however, there is no reason to believe that the texts of Metropolitan Andrei can incite hatred or promote violent actions. Moreover, it is obvious that a work more than a hundred years old has mostly historical value. propaganda superiority of Catholicism over other confessions, inevitably contained in the text, cannot be considered as a sign of extremism, since it contrary to both law and common sense.
