A case for calls for extremism and terrorism has been brought to court in Vologda

In December 2013, the case against 22-year-old Farid Fatullayev, who is suspected of posting terrorist and extremist appeals on the Internet, was brought to court in Vologda.

The deputy prosecutor of the region approved the indictment in the criminal case against Farid Fatullayev. He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activity), part 1 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code (public calls for terrorist activities or public justification of terrorism), Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred or enmity on grounds of attitude to religion), part 3 of article 30 - part 1 of art. 205.1 of the Criminal Code (assistance to terrorist activities).

According to investigators, from 2009 to February 28, 2013, Fatullayev posted on the Internet "materials containing calls for extremist and terrorist activities and inciting hatred or enmity against a group of people on the grounds of religion." "In addition, he persuaded his acquaintances to join the ranks of illegal armed groups operating in the North Caucasus."

Fatullayev's actions were suppressed by officers of the FSB of Russia in the Vologda region.

The criminal case was sent to the Vologda city court for consideration on the merits.
