In December 2013, a 17-year-old teenager attacked two Yakuts in Novosibirsk.
The teenager saw on the street two students from Yakutia and decided to kill them. The students tried to escape, but he caught up with them and stabbed one in the chest with a knife. Then he attacked the second with a knife. Fortunately the blow fell on the zipper of the jacket, and the young man was not injured.
A passerby helped the students. The attacker fled.
He was later detained. The case went to court in July 2014.
