Kazan: case of xenophobic graffiti brought to court

In January 2014, the investigation into the case of Dmitry Rozhkov, who wrote racist inscriptions on the fence and wall of a boiler room, was completed in Kazan. The case has already been transferred to the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan.

In January 2014, in the city of Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, the investigation into the case of incitement of national hatred (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code) was completed.

25-year-old Dmitry Rozhkov will soon be in the dock, accused of writing neo-Nazi inscriptions and drawings calling for racist violence on the wall of a boiler room and a concrete fence on the territory of a medical university in March last year.

D. Rozhkov fully admitted his guilt, his case will be considered in a special procedure (see the SOVA Center’s certificate “ Special procedure for trial ”).

The case has already been transferred to the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan.
