In January 2014, it became known that in Tatarstan a case was brought to court against Alexei Gorshevikov, a resident of Zelnodolsk, for distributing "extremist" videos on a social network.
On January 15, 2014, the Zelenodolsk MRSO of the Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Republic of Tatarstan announced that they had been charged under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred) to 42-year-old Alexei Gorshevikov.
According to investigators, from January 2012 to May 2013 in Zelenodolsk, Gorshevikov distributed on the Internet in one of the social networks videos SS-Sturmführer "(Sturmführer)," Glory to Rus'. From the heart to the sun!" and "Eternal Jew. Germany, 1939”, which were previously recognized by the court as extremist and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials. In addition, he published a number of xenophobic videos and images, including a portrait of Afolf Hitler.
Gorshevikov partially admitted his guilt. The investigator chose a measure of restraint against him in the form of a written undertaking not to leave and proper behavior.
The case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits.
