In Buryatia, the verdict in the case of an Internet commentator on the Burinfo website came into force

In January 2014, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Buryatia considered complaint against the verdict of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ulan-Ude dated September 26 last when, according to which 28-year-old Zurtan Khaltarov was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 UK (inciting national hatred) and sentenced to 200 hours of compulsory works.

Recall that the reason for initiating a criminal case was that in early 2012 Z. Khaltarov under pseudonym "Bullshit" left on the site "burinfo.org" several offensive xenophobic comments. The defendant himself claimed that everything was done within the framework of “national trolling”.

The young man did not agree with the verdict of the district court and appealed him, however, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Buryatia left the complaint unsatisfied and the verdict of the Oktyabrsky District Court entered into force.
