January 24 2014, it became known that LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, commenting the situation in the Kursk region, suggested that Baptists be vaccinated forcibly or take their children.

" Don't care about these sectarians, let them pray to whom they want, but if children are supposed to be vaccinated, - to force or take away children . And then a good mother but the poor, they take away the child, because there are no oranges in the refrigerator, and here there is a general epidemic - children are not taken away , ”he said.

Recall that we are talking about measles epidemic that has spread in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region since the end of December 2013. About 150 children from Evangelical Christian-Baptist families fell ill with measles.
