In January 2014, the Pervomaisky District Court of Murmansk issued a verdict in the case of inciting national hatred (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code).
In the dock was Dmitry Gashuta, who, as an administrator in the “Slavic North” group on the VKontakte social network, published racist texts calling for violence there.
The accused fully admitted his guilt, his case was considered in a special procedure (see the SOVA Center’s certificate “ Special procedure for trial ”).
The court sentenced him to 6 months of correctional labor with deduction of 5% of his earnings to the state.
