Fired after the scandal with the dissertations of the rector of the MPSU was suspected in thefts of 193 million

The leadership of the Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPSU) asks the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to institute criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by an organized group) in connection with the detected multimillion embezzlement during the period of the former rector Viktor Matrosov. From the materials of the audit directed in the TFR, it follows that the sailors and his subordinates for personal enrichment were established by two commercial university affiliated with the MPSU-the Moscow Social and Pedagogical Institute and the Humanitarian Institute of Social-Social Institute, the Kommersant newspaper reports.

As you know, last summer Viktor Matrosov was fired from the rector’s post for the “many years of functioning at the university of the“ dissertation factory ”after a loud scandal with the exposure of“ linden ”candidates and doctors of sciences.

According to Kommersant, the new leadership of the MPGU decided to check the activities of Matrosov after the Russia-1 channel in September showed the plot about the possible facts of forgery and violations at the university. As a result, the audit showed that the former rector and his subordinates from 2000 to 2013 "carried out corruption schemes."

In particular, it turned out that the sailors and his wife, having organized private educational institutions, provided students with the opportunity to use all the resources of the MPSU, as well as transfer to the pedigree after the first course. The Know-Social Institute of the Humanitarian and Social Institute was supposed to deduct 10% of the amount that students paid to the accounts of the Moscow State Pedagogical University. That is, over the past five years, the State Unitary Enterprise was obliged to transfer more than 206 million rubles, but provided only a little more than 13 million. Thus, the university could be damaged by more than 193 million rubles, the auditors say.

Recall that a loud dissertation scandal erupted after checking the Ministry of Education and Science, spent a year ago at the MPSU. The commission, having checked more than 20 dissertations, discovered cases of plagiarism in 19 of them. A month later, the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Committee decided to deprive the scientific degrees of candidates and doctors of sciences of all plagiators. In July, the rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University Viktor Matrosov was removed from his post. Reporting the resignation, the Minister of Education Dmitry Livanov called the dissertation council of the pedagogical university "a factory of fake dissertations."

After the scandal, Internet activists organized inspections of dissertations of famous people - politicians and public figures on an ongoing basis. It was reported that the Dissernet community found plagiarism in the dissertations, including officials of the Ministry of Education and Science - Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Klimov and the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergei Kravtsov.

One of the last high -profile revelations concerns the candidate dissertation of the children's ombudsman Pavel Astakhov. It was reported that the Russian State Library (RSL), checked its scientific work and found 99% of plagiarism there. However, it soon became clear that the results of the audit were unofficial and “leaked” to the network due to the fault of one of the employees.
