The powerful power is stubbornly trying to accustom us to obsolete concepts and ideas. Such a job now has - to return the country to a hopeless past. Within the framework of this program, the idea of celebrating the Defender of the Fatherland Day abroad was thrown into society. This stuffing was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
Everything turned out in clearly Soviet traditions. Just as the 1979 Soviet military aggression in Afghanistan was then called international help, so the holiday proposed today is hidden behind ennobled euphemisms. In fact, we are offered to celebrate the day of the invader. Indeed, if Stalin is an effective manager, and the whole history of the country is a series of grandiose successes and crushing victories, then why not the aggression against other states not write down in the asset of Russian history?
Started in humanitarian. We love freedom of speech to limit the interests of children, to take away voting rights for public security, to exterminate the civilian population in the name of the unity of the country. And the day of the invader to celebrate, out of respect for the fighting exploits of veterans of the Soviet-Afghan war. What is the feat? And the fact that 26 thousand troops put the lives in order to include Afghanistan in a dying communist system. The soldiers and officers were driven to slaughter so that the socialist camp was replenished with another hut.
There is no dispute, the dead, crippled and broken in that war of the Soviet troops is a pity, how sorry for any soldier recruited to any meaningless massacre under the threat of the tribunal. The abandonment of service in such an army or desertion is the lot of the few, clearly aware of the inability to participate in the enslavement of another country. The majority meekly went and followed the orders of the military command, not suffering from personal responsibility and relying on the commanders in everything. Others found considerable pleasure in this. The war unties the hands and frees instincts - some people like it.
Then many began to perceive their military past as a drama. Not least because the new Russia condemned the claims of the USSR to Afghanistan. The question of why thousands of people were sent to death and who should answer for this is hung in the air. Now the authorities are trying to give the old answer to this question - they saved the world from American imperialism.
Politicians and generals like such a propaganda explanation. This returns them to a happy irresponsible youth and opens up new ideological horizons. The “warriors-internationalists” themselves probably no longer matter-they would have to cope with the need and support their health, there is no time for ideology. The press, including liberal, reacted to the relapse of Soviet life in general, while others were sympathetic.
"Echo of Moscow" held a marathon in favor of the "Afghan warriors", and many respected journalists supported him or took part in it. I would like to ask these journalists (there are no indecent questions): compassion for the fate of 26 thousand dead and tens of thousands of crippled Soviet troops, have you forgotten anything? Do you well remember that in occupied Afghanistan Soviet troops destroyed one and a half million people (according to some estimates - 2.7 million) and about 5 million made refugees? Not a single word of sincere sympathy for them was heard during your marathon. No one raised a natural question: how do we make amends for historical guilt before Afghanistan, and is it worth thinking about specific measures to help the people we have beaten? To arrange, for example, the same marathon to help the victims of Russian weapons. You just think and compare: 26 thousand and 1.5 million! The former came as conquerors to someone else's land, the latter defended their homeland. No, they killed and killed what kind of affairs, what to remember all this? We will now take care of our wounded and shell -shocked.
If Dmitry Kiselev or Arkady Mamontov, Alexei Pushkov or some other Kremlin lyzobate, then there would have been no questions. Everything is clear with them. But the fact that real journalists did not notice the genuine drama of the ten -year war, concentrating on one hundredth part of the tragedy, puzzles me. You do not want the Soviet Union so much to neglect the truth of the event? Or am I mistaken?
The vector prepared by the authorities of political development, or rather, the degradation of Russia has long been clearly indicated. However, the speed and inevitability of falling depend not only on the maliciousness of power, but also on our ability to resist it.
