February 19, 2014 became aware of the administrative persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses in Samara for distribution of their literature. On April 21, 2014, it became known that the Samara Regional Court confirmed the sentence of the head of the Samara community of Jehovah's Witnesses.
February 19, 2014 prosecutor's office Samara instituted administrative proceedings against one of the communities of Jehovah's Witnesses case Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (dissemination of extremist materials). Witnesses are charged with distributing literature during prayer meetings.
On March 6, 2014, the Sovetsky District Court of Samara found Pavel Moskvin, head of the LRO Jehovah's Witnesses of Samara, guilty of an administrative offense and fined him 50,000 rubles.
On April 21, 2014, it became known that the Samara Regional Court upheld the sentence handed down to Moskvin.
As a reminder, we consider the persecution of the Witnesses Jehovah and the prohibition of their texts for extremism are unlawful and perceive it as religious discrimination.
