In March 2014 in the Yaroslavl region, employees law enforcement agencies conducted a check on the celebration by local neo-pagans of the "Day the god Veles.
It is reported that the organizer of the holiday, which took place in forest, became the local unregistered neo-pagan community "Chartog S`ivera", which is known for the fact that its members are often carriers of far-right and anti-Orthodox views.
During the raid, law enforcement officers found in the audience (19 adults and several minors) knives and an air rifle, the need for which at the holiday no one could explain. In addition, there was several books were confiscated, which later the law enforcement officers sent to examination for the presence of extremist statements in them. On the holiday objects containing the image of the swastika were used, for example this symbol was attached to the forehead of the idol of the god Perun, and also decorated a wooden ladle.
Several members were reported to have attended the celebration. the local branch of the ultra-right movement "Resistance" Roman Zentsov, as well as colleague of the "ideologist of neo-paganism" Alexei Dobrovolsky (Dobroslav) - Lev Prozorov.
