The Prosecutor General's Office demanded to block the page of the community "War of Corruption - Alexei Navalny" in the social network "VKontakte".
On March 20, 2014, it became known that on March 3, 2014, United Russia deputy Anton Sidyakin applied to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to block the page of the War of Corruption - Alexei Navalny community on the VKontakte social network for extremist content.
On March 13, 2014, the Prosecutor General's Office sent a response to Sidyakin, in which he said that his request was satisfied and a request was sent to Roskomnadzor to block the page on the basis of a new law on extrajudicial blocking of information on the network.
It is not known what kind of information the Prosecutor General's Office considered extremist, but it is possible that this is a recording dedicated to the detention in the center of Moscow of people who opposed the entry of troops into Ukraine, which began with a call for the arrest and execution of Putin and Yanukovych.
Recall that the other day, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, the websites Grani.ru, Kasparov.ru and Ezhednevny Zhurnal were blocked, the law enforcement officers also did not name the exact reasons for the blocking. Access to Navalny's blog on LiveJournal was also limited under the pretext that the author of the blog violated the measure of restraint imposed on him by the court by using the Internet. However, the violation of the preventive measure has nothing to do with the content of the law on extrajudicial blocking.
