On March 20, 2014, in Moscow, the apartment of one of the leaders of the Russian association, Alexander Belov (Potkin), was searched. Belov was summoned for interrogation as a suspect.
It is not yet clear in which criminal case these sanctions were carried out.
Recall that in January 2014, Belov's house was already searched in connection with a fraud case initiated against his associate Vladimir Tor (Vladlen Kralin). According to investigators, in 2011 he fraudulently purchased an apartment.
We also recall that in 2006 a criminal case was opened against Belov under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred) after the events in Kondopoga. The case was later closed for lack of corpus delicti.
In May 2009, a Moscow court sentenced him under the same article to one and a half years of suspended liberty for speaking at a rally that ended Russian March 2007. .
